Welcome to my Practicum Blog!

I'm Marisa Macias, and I'm a student at Colorado School of Mines.  I'm studying geological engineering (geotechnical specialty) and getting a minor in public affairs through the McBride Honors Program.  I'm originally from Austin, Texas, but I am absolutely loving Colorado. 

I am heavily involved on campus.  I am a part of several organizations that give back to the campus and community.  I am very passionate about helping people and having a positive impact on as many lives as possible.  Among all my other activities, I am very involved with the Title IX office.  Because of my passion for helping people and my connections in Title IX, I decided to work with the Title IX office to implement restorative justice on campus.
